The concept of being "healthy" is thrown around quite often, but have you ever stopped to think about what it truly means? The meaning of "healthy" in my world, drawing from my own experiences as a ex pro dancer.
For a significant portion of my life, I constantly pursued perfection. Weekly weigh-ins controlled my career, leading me to obsess over every bite I took. 💔 I worked out tirelessly, before and after shows. On the surface, I appeared great, but the reality was exhausting. I struggled to maintain a healthy mindset amidst the pressure. While I enjoyed my career, I constantly battled with myself, unaware of what true health really felt like and how to achieve it.
It wasn`t until I retired from the dance world after 25 years and embarked on a major career change that everything changed. This transition made me realize the true significance of a healthy approach as I sought to help others avoid the struggles I faced. 🌟
True health revolves around establishing a sustainable and vibrant lifestyle that encompasses every aspect of wellness. 🌈✨
Being healthy means nourishing our bodies with wholesome, nutritious foods that make us feel alive. It`s about finding balance and enjoying food without guilt or restrictive diets. Diets are ineffective and short-lived!
Exercise isn’t just about pushing ourselves to the limit; it`s about moving joyfully and appreciating the capabilities of our bodies.
😌 Self-love, self-compassion, and stress management are crucial components of overall health. A sound mind is equally as important as a healthy body.
🤗Building a supportive and positive community is vital. Together, we uplift & empower each other on our wellness journeys.
💤 High-quality sleep and sufficient rest are non-negotiable. Our bodies need it to thrive. This aspect cannot be overstated.
🌟Ultimately, it all comes down to finding balance. Striving for a harmonious life that aligns with your individual needs and goals.

Hey Fit Fam! 💪🏋️♀️ Just finished an intense workout and now it’s time to refuel with my go-to post-workout treat, the Warrior Recharge Salad!
Ingredients:
* 1 cup arugula
* 1/2 cup shredded carrot
* 1/2 cup shredded red cabbage
* 1 medium cucumber
* 1/3 cup chopped green onion
* 1/2 cup tofu, cubed
* 1/2 cup edamame
* 1/2 cup dry roasted peanuts
* 1 cup cooked quinoa
🌟 Top it off with Creamy Thai Peanut Dressing: 🌟
* 1/2 cup creamy natural peanut butter
* 1/4 cup soy sauce (I prefer the light one)
* 1/3 cup rice vinegar
* 2 tbsp sriracha (I like it spicy!)
* 1/3 cup maple syrup
* 1 tsp ground ginger
* Add water to thin it out to your desired consistency. It’s awesome! 😋
